About Therapy
In his brilliant poem, “The Real Work,” Wendell Berry suggests:
It may be that when we no longer know what to do
we have come to our real work,
and that when we no longer know which way to go
we have come to our real journey.
I offer a space of deep, nonjudgmental listening, traveling alongside you as an experienced guide. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and I aim to help clarify what is most difficult to see from the inside, especially when life gets overwhelming. When you no longer know what to do but sense that something must change, I know it takes a lot of courage to reach out for help.
I have worked with individuals from the age of six to 71, successfully supporting clients struggling with depression, anxiety, significant life transitions, grief, trauma, and challenges related to various expressions of neurodivergence.
I am especially passionate about supporting individuals experiencing challenges with ADHD, healthy masculinity, parenting, life transitions, grief, depression, and anxiety. I also work with a limited number of couples who are committed to growing through challenges toward a higher level of healthy functioning and connection.
I utilize elements of emotionally focused therapy, narrative therapy, and internal family systems, in addition to mindfulness practices and a range of holistic approaches tailored to best support your individual needs and goals.
My roles as a father, husband, poet, and artist influence how I show up in the world, though I also have a great deal of experience supporting individuals whose lives and identities differ greatly from my own. I offer in-person sessions in my well-lit and cozy office in downtown Port Townsend, as well as telehealth services to individuals residing anywhere in Washington State.

I have a limited number of sliding scale spaces. Please check in with me about this if the standard fee presents a significant burden.
